Application: G/LL46 for microlight aircraft

Problem

Microlights generally have no fuel gauge and the fuel tank is located immediately behind the pilot's seat. To check the fuel level the pilot uses a hand held mirror to view the tank.

Additional constraints

  • Microlight aircraft are categorized by the CAA as Ultralight Aircraft so any additional items to be fitted also need to be of minimal weight.
  • These aircraft have a very light duty electrical system.

Solution

G/LL46 hydrostatic gauging system

Benefits

  • Its weight of 80g incurs little weight penalty
  • There is no electrical supply or wiring
  • The capillary tubing is fed through the tubular structure of the aircraft thereby protecting it
  • Being all plastic the gauge is unaffected by corrosion

We design and manufacture a wide range of liquid level, pressure, temperature control and monitoring equipment for worldwide customers.

Application: Bund Monitor for fuel storage tanks

Problem

Industrial and domestic fuel tanks above a certain size are required to have a bund, or secondary containment device, to prevent any leaks from the tanks entering the environment and particularly any water course. The bund must have a capacity of 110% of the tank.

Additional constraint

  • Weekly testing of the system is recommended.

Solution

BM series Bund Monitor

Benefits

  • Established and proven technologies are used
  • Very easily installed either as original equipment or retrofit
  • Low cost

We design and manufacture a wide range of liquid level, pressure, temperature control and monitoring equipment for worldwide customers.
